Employee-Initiated Data Dispute Request

If you are concerned the information in your Employment Data Report may be inaccurate, you can learn how to submit an employee data dispute request here: employees.theworknumber.com/employee-data-dispute.

You can also call The Work Number® Employee Service Center to file a dispute and/or for further assistance at 866-222-5880 Monday to Friday between 8:00 am – 8:00 pm ET or, for TTY – hearing impaired, at 800-424-0253.

Please complete our Reseller Dispute Investigation Request. Your completed request will be routed to a representative.

Employer-Initiated Data Issue Submission

Should a current employee of your company contact you with a concern about the accuracy of data that was provided by The Work Number®, please take the following actions:

  1. Review the data field in question regarding your employee
  2. Determine the correct value for that data field
  3. Confirm or correct this value in your HR/Payroll system
  4. Confirm the correct value is being displayed on The Work Number®
      • Go to theworknumber.com
    . • Navigate to the Log In button on the top right corner and select Manage Your Workforce
      • Select your employer and log in with your User ID and Password
      • Enter the employee’s Social Security Number or User ID on the Home Dashboard or under the Employment Management tab
      • Click search to view the employee profile
    • To view or print a PDF of the employment record click on Employee Verification Data on the top right corner

Please complete the following Employer Issue Investigation Request Form, and the Equifax Workforce Solutions Data Investigation Team (DIT) will contact you within 5 business days.
