Password Reset for The Work Number®

In the Secure Account Access log-in window, enter your Username, and click Continue.

If you forgot your password, click “Forgot my Password.” The system will ask you additional account security questions that you must answer in order to receive instructions for resetting your password.

Username Assistance

To retrieve your username, simply click on Forgot username? on the login page. You'll then be prompted to enter your first name, last name, and email address. If a unique match is found, your username will be displayed instantly.

The Work Number® Log-in Troubleshooting

Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot your log-in issue:

  1. Confirm Pop-Up Blockers are off
  2. Clear all cookies and cache from your browser
  3. Close all open tabs in your browser for The Work Number®
  4. Do not use a favorites link, and go directly to secure1.verifier.theworknumber.com/verifier3/Account/LogOn in the address bar
  5. Log in, and attempt to request a verification
  6. If still not able to access the website, change secure1 to secure2 in URL
  7. If none of the above steps work on your current browser, please switch to a different browser, and attempt to log in again

Multi-factor Authentication:

When accessing the Application after MFA has been activated, each credentialed user will be prompted to generate a one-time passcode (OTP) at each login. This one-time passcode is time-sensitive and is valid for a single use only. A new OTP will be required on every subsequent login.

How to log in using Multi-factor Authentication:

  1. Enter current User ID
  2. Enter current Password/PIN
  3. Select the trusted email address presented to receive an OTP via email
  4. Enter the OTP as prompted
  5. Proceed to the Employer Portal dashboard
