What You'll Need To Sign Up 

If this is your first time logging in to The Work Number*, you will need your company name or Employer Codeyour employer-provided User ID, and your employer-provided password. Please contact your Human Resources Department if you do not have access to your employer-provided User ID or employer-provided password.

*The same law that governs access to your credit information also governs how we handle your information on The Work Number. That means many controls are in place, by law, to protect your privacy. The law is known as the Fair Credit Reporting Act, or FCRA.

First-Time Users

How To Sign Up

Follow these simple steps to access your information, also known as your Employment Data Report, in The Work Number database. 

Step 1: Find Your Employer

After clicking the Sign Up button, you will be prompted to enter your Employer Code or search for your employer.

Step 2: Complete the New User Registration or Enter Your Employer-Provided User ID and Password 

If given the option for New User Registration, select "click here" in that section. If the New User Registration option does not appear, please enter your employer-provided User ID and password. If you do not know your User ID or password, please contact your Human Resources Department. 

Step 3: Validate Your Identity

You will be asked to validate your identity by providing your own data such as a phone number and email at which to receive a one-time passcode. Passcodes are sent in real time, so please enter it immediately into the application without exiting the login session or closing the browser.

Step 4: Create Your Personal User ID and Password

Once you have logged in, you will be required to create a personalized User ID and password. Stringent security standards and controls are in place by law to help protect your data, so please remember both your personal User ID and password. They will be used for future logins.
